Events
Various events take place on Terschelling throughout the year.
The most famous festival is of course the open-air theatre festival Oerol in June. But how about an open-air film festival in August or a Rock & Roll festival in September? In addition to these large events, it is bursting with small events such as ring stabbing, harness races and fairs.

Fjoertoer
The Fjoertoer leads the participants along the beautiful nature of the island of Terschelling, through the polder, the woods, the dunes and of course over the beach. Island artists provide surprising and special fire and light effects along the way, which show the walkers the right course in the darkness of the night. And of course the time-honoured campfires are not missing either.
Oerol
Oerol, founded in 1981 by Joop Mulder, is an annual ten-day location arts festival on Terschelling. It is a meeting point where diverse perspectives and generations come together, connecting and meaningful for a broad (international) network.
TOF
What is TOF? Tof stands for Terschellinger Open Air Film Festival! Movies in the open air! What more could you want! During TOF we will play 10 evenings of wonderful films in the open air in a magical place in nature. As soon as dusk falls, we start with the film.
Rock&Roll festival
Midsland will be transformed into a true rock 'n roll mecca, with old-timers, greasers, cotton candy, dance demos and all kinds of swinging performances. During the day you can enjoy all the Rock'nRoll entertainment in the streets of Midsland for free and in the evening there are live performances by various Rock'nRoll and Rockabilly bands in the various catering establishments.
Berenloop
Over the years, the Berenloop has grown into one of the largest athletics events in the north of the Netherlands. This is not only because of the beautiful course, which leads through the beautiful and varied nature of Terschelling, but also because of the fantastic atmosphere that prevails on the island during the Bear Run weekend.
