Wrakkenmuseum Terschelling

Museum 't Behouden Huys
Step aboard the Lutine and discover what happened in the evening of October 9, 1799, when the ship went down with all its gold. Or go on a voyage of discovery with Willem Barentsz and his crew to the ice-cold Nova Zembla with your family. And did you know that almost all the houses of West-Terschelling were reduced to ashes by the English in 1666 and the smoke could be seen far into Friesland? Reverend Grevensteijn tells you all about it.

Wrakkenmuseum
An exciting and pleasantly crazy museum for big and small people. A collection of unearthed objects from historical and modern wrecks and exciting stories. Behind the museum is a real pirate ship. There is a tree house and even a castle!

Centre for Nature and Landscape
A particularly nice museum for young and old. The museum tells the story of Terschelling's nature. Discover and experience the underwater world and see the sea fish and special small marine organisms in the extensive aquarium.

West-End theatre
An evening at the movies or the theatre is also possible in the West-End. The atmospheric art deco-decorated cinema can accommodate approximately 45 visitors. Throughout the year, beautiful films are shown or there are live performances. Ask Odette and Paul about the current offer or drop by the theatre at Raadhuisstraat 2 in West Terschelling.
