Rent a bike

The bicycle is the ideal means of transport to discover Terschelling. Over shell paths, through forests and dunes, past villages and the Wadden Sea, there is an extensive network of cycle paths that takes you to all the beautiful places on the island. 

Of course you can choose your own way around the island with the VVV island map or choose one of the many cycling routes. Whether you choose a route along art and monuments, a tour with beachcombers' stories, or a tour of the viewpoints — every cycling route on Terschelling lets you experience the island in a different way. 

Also special is the 'Tracks in the Sand' cycle route. This tour, which is about 40 kilometres long, takes you past all kinds of places on the island with historical or cultural value. Depending on the wind direction, you can choose to cycle the route clockwise or anticlockwise. The route book is richly illustrated and can be ordered via the VVV webshop. Rent a bike on Terschelling 
You can bring your own bike, but you can also rent a bike on the island from the many bike rental companies. Some bike rental companies (including Tijs Knop, Zeelen and De Groot) allow you to take your bike from the harbour and your luggage will be brought to Goudberg by the bike rental company. And if you have a flat tire on the way, a phone call is often enough and a new bike will be delivered as soon as possible. It is often also possible to have the bicycles delivered and picked up by us.
